Net Zero Emissions

The UK Government has set a climate change target date of 2050 to achieve net-zero emissions across all greenhouse gases, with the Scottish Government setting its own world-leading target of 2045.

Our transition to a country of net-zero emissions will be for the benefit of our environment, our people, and our prosperity, and our contribution to climate change will end, definitively, within one generation.

Circular materials

To achieve net zero, we need to shift towards a circular economy, prioritising recycled materials to reduce landfill and environmental harm.

Retrofitting existing homes requires careful consideration to maintain energy efficiency while respecting the original designs.

We aim to minimise our impact on material usage and waste by prioritising low-carbon solutions.

Our insulation systems primarily use 80% recycled post-consumer glass cullet, reflecting our commitment to advancing circular materials in construction for high-performance, eco-friendly housing.

Our impact

We are very proud of our achievements to date which include completing in excess of 10,000 energy efficiency projects that has resulted in more than 7,000 families being lifted out of fuel poverty and prevented more than 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide being emitted into the atmosphere.

Eradicate fuel poverty

Fuel poverty affects households who spend more than 10% of the income on their heating bills.

6.9 million households face this issue with 20.7 million homes falling below energy efficiency standards.
