What is Cavity Wall Insulation?
Cavity wall insulation is a special type of home insulation that is injected into the walls of your home to prevent heat escaping.
It can only be installed in homes that have cavity wall construction and is installed from the outside by drilling small holes and injecting insulation material into the cavity space. Once the cavity is full of insulation the holes are filled so that they are barely noticeable. This is a highly specialised insulation measure, and it is important that your home is properly assessed to ensure the correct product is installed to prevent installation issues such as condensation.
Green Homes offer free surveys and quotes in all areas of Scotland. Fill out our enquiry form today and we will contact you to discuss further.
Why Insulate?
About a third of all heat can be lost through uninsulated cavity walls, and by properly insulating your cavity walls you will save a lot of energy and help keep your home warm. It provides a thermal barrier that stops heat escaping through your walls. This makes it easier to maintain a comfortable temperature in your living space.
Green Home Systems is accredited to PAS2030 – the top insulation industry standard. We have the qualifications and experience to insulate your cavity walls properly so you can save energy, reduce carbon emissions and lower your heating bills. Our domestic insulation systems promote increased energy-efficiency and help lower your impact on the environment.
