Cavity Wall Insulation
If your home was built after the 1920s, there’s a good chance your external walls are made of two layers of brick with a gap between them – known as a cavity wall. Without insulation, heat escapes through that gap, costing you money every time you turn on the heating.
We install insulation to create a barrier that keeps warmth in and cold air out.

How Cavity Wall Insulation Works
Cavity wall insulation involves injecting insulating material called EPS bead into the gap between your home’s inner and outer walls.
Multiple holes are drilled into the mortar joints, the insulation is blown into the cavity, and the holes are sealed back up neatly.
The process is quick, clean and usually completed in just a few hours.
Once in place, the insulation prevents heat from escaping through the walls, helping your home stay warmer for longer.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my home has cavity walls?
If your home was built after the 1920s and has brickwork with even rows (not alternating patterns), it likely has cavity walls – even if your property is rendered. We can confirm this during your survey.
Can all homes have cavity wall insulation?
No. But we can help you to identify which insulation measure is right for your property if you’re losing heat.
Will the work cause mess or disruption?
No. The process is straightforward, preventative measures are implemented to ensure internal gaps are sealed, and any drill holes are neatly filled to match your existing brickwork.
How long does cavity wall insulation last?
Properly installed insulation can last for the lifetime of your home.
Can insulation cause damp?
When installed correctly using Energy Store accredited materials and in suitable properties, cavity wall insulation does not cause damp. Our surveys ensure full suitability before any work takes place.
