ECO4 Grants

The new ECO4 scheme hopes to improve energy efficiency in homes by targeting the home itself, before installing one of the many new energy saving systems available.

The scheme will see the government working with energy companies (such as Green Home Systems), to make sure they are doing their part to achieve an overall better energy efficiency rate.

The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is the new name for the ECO+ scheme and was created to support low-income and vulnerable householders insulate their homes.

Home Energy Scotland (‘HES’) is funded by the Scottish Government and run by the Energy Saving Trust.

So, if you don’t qualify for ECO funding there is still a lot of help available. This funding is a mix of interest free loans and cashback (effectively a grant).
