What is an air source heat pump?
There are three main types of air source heat pumps: air to water, which connects to a wet central heating system; air to air, which circulates warm air through fans; and hybrid systems, which switch between air and water depending on factors like season or temperature.
These pumps work in four steps: drawing heat from outdoor air, using refrigerant to absorb it, compressing it to raise the temperature, and then using it to heat your home. Some models can even cool your home during warmer months.
