Ground Source Heat Pumps

Get A Quote

Ground source heat pumps are a great low carbon heating solution when you have plenty of outside space.

By generating your own heat you can lower your carbon footprint and save money on your energy bills.

Ground source heat pumps work by harnessing natural heat from the ground and transferring that heat back into your home. A ground loop, or network of underground water pipes, is installed outside (typically in a garden) along with a heat pump at ground level. A mixture of water and anti-freeze is pumped around the ground loop, and this liquid absorbs the natural ground heat. The water mixture is compressed and run through a heat exchanger which extracts the heat and transfers it into your home through the heat pump.
